Letter: Nelson has a well-rounded background
David Nelson is by far the best candidate for the District 5 state Senate seat. He is committed to representing the residents of Latah and Benewah counties.
He grew up on a wheat farm in Genesee, attended the University of Idaho, moved away for work, started his own business and returned to Latah County to raise his children here. He knows this district and its inhabitants, and he will work diligently to represent us in Boise.
Nelson's well-rounded background makes him an ideal candidate for us. He understands the difficulties of farming, the challenges of building a business, the importance of education, the value of public lands and the necessity of holding respectful dialogue to find solutions to complex issues. He supports Proposition 2, which, if passed, will expand Medicaid in Idaho to cover the uninsured.
Nelson wants to represent his constituents. He has spent the past several months knocking on doors and engaging in conversations with residents across District 5 to learn about their concerns and their ideas for a better Idaho. He has pledged to help set priorities in state government that create opportunity and a better future for our children and grandchildren.
Please join us in voting for Nelson for Idaho Senate in District 5.
