On Monday March 11, and then again on Friday March 15th, large crowds filled the Lincoln Auditorium to testify before Senate State Affairs Committee on SB1159, the voter revenge act. Nearly everyone present was opposed to this proposed bill.
March 04, 2019: Medicaid Expansion Funded and Transportation Funding
SB1159 is a newly proposed bill that would severely restrict our ability to get a voter-backed initiative on a future ballot.
February 25, 2019: Medicaid Expansion and Sideboards
Last week, the Joint Finance and Appropriation Committee (JFAC) voted unanimously to fund Medicaid Expansion!
We are about to get started!
The two defining issues of the legislature are how we handle Medicaid Expansion (Proposition 2) and the new school funding formula.
I am both incredibly eager to begin the legislative session and a little scared about what exactly to do. But it’s time to get started. I know all the encouragement, knowledge, and enthusiasm from the people of Benewah and Latah Counties will help me do my very best.
